Stephanie Furlan is the 2019-2020 articling student at FIJ. She joined the firm as a summer student in 2018. 

Stephanie is a recent graduate of the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and University of Detroit Mercy School of Law Dual J.D. Program. She obtained an Honours Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance from the University of Ottawa.    

Throughout law school, Stephanie was employed at a leading financial institution. Academically, she was heavily involved with the Moot Court Board of Advocates, coaching an international team in addition to first and second year law students. She mentored students and volunteered as a judge for multiple competitions. Stephanie also gained experience as a summer law student at the Michigan State Defender Office. She often appeared in court and continued this experience at a trial clinic. Later, she achieved a Book Award for high academic achievement in Trial Practice.

Prior to attending law school, Stephanie worked in the audit division of the Canada Revenue Agency, the accounting and investigations department of a leading financial institution, and as a Teaching Assistant for a business presentations course.
